Open day went very well, good attendance and great weather. Watch this space for the next open day. 20/07/11

It has been noted that there has been a growth spurt of Floating Pondweed around the edges of the lake, and this may hinder your access to certain areas of the lake, this is being treated at present and we will ensure that areas are cut clear for access at the head bank for anglers at all times. Apologies for any inconvenience caused, we hope to kill the weed growth completely within the next few weeks. 17/05/11

New Scales have now been taken out to the lake cabin. These are to be used by anglers, but are required to remain at the lakeside. 12/05/11

We have now added a catch report to the website, so you are able to see what is being caught and how from the comments left by anglers at the lake, this will be updated each week in line with the Blackmore Vale Magazine. Download from the “Fly Fishing Page” of this site. 11/05/11

With the fantastic weather we have been experiencing, the fishing has come to life with great morning and evening rises providing plenty of opportunity for casting a quiet dry fly or two. 02/05/11

Grand opening to go ahead as planned for 1st April 2011, with season tickets already being purchased. 28/03/11

With the weather getting better, the water is beginning to warm, bringing the fish closer to the top, there is lots of natural water life in the lake providing the fish plenty of natural feed to promote natural growth. Fishing patterns need to be good imitation at present, especially for the brownies. - 26/03/11

The first of our new “Thorney Copse” catch reports were published in the Blackmore Vale Magazine this Friday, this should keep everyone informed of the goings on at the lake. - 12/03/11

The lawns around the three prominant sides of the lake have now been mowed, as has the preferred entrance route, please continue to use this route to access the lake at present until the ground fully dries out. - 12/03/11

We have been hard at work on the lake this week and have cut all the weed from the bed of the lake, the majority of this has been pulled out onto the banks, however there is still a small amount floating on the surface, drifting around. This will be removed as soon as it becomes accessible - 11/03/11

We have had a great response from the Blackmore Vale Magazine and the Fosse Way Magazine, lots
of interest and have now agreed with the BVM to place a weekly update column on catch reports.

With the sun now set to stay out for a short while, its time to start thinking about weed control and any clearance of overgrowth from the winter months. Call us to see if we can help.
